Privacy policy

KMG Locksmiths is a locksmith business based in Skelmersdale, West Lancashire, run by Martin. You can contact us on 07485 406 169 or at kmglocksmiths@gmail.com.

This policy explains what information we collect when you contact us, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

When you call, message or email us, we receive the information you choose to give us: your name, your telephone number, your address or postcode, and a description of the work you need. If you send a photograph of a door or lock, we receive that too.

This website does not use advertising trackers and does not sell any data to third parties. Standard server logs may record your IP address and the pages you visit for security and performance purposes.

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to give you a price, to attend the job, to issue an invoice where one is required, and to honour the twelve-month guarantee on any lock we fit.

If you are a landlord or letting agent, we may keep a record of the specification of locks fitted so we can evidence it to you or your insurer later.

Job records, including the address and the specification of parts fitted, are kept for as long as necessary to honour the guarantee and to satisfy accounting requirements. Enquiries that do not lead to work are not retained.

We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes, and we do not sell it. Information is only shared where it is necessary to complete the work you asked for, or where we are legally required to do so.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to ask for it to be deleted where we do not have a legal reason to keep it. To make a request, contact kmglocksmiths@gmail.com.
